Reading a book is always better than watching the movie

Stephen King is one of the best horror writers of recent times, and not only has he written horror novels but also of other genres in which he has been very successful.  He has a unique style of writing where the reader feels trapped, and his novels are written in such detail that it is as if you were watching a movie instead of reading a book.

He has a great ability to introduce the reader into a dark world of anguish and nightmare with which he shapes chilling images creating complex characters in gloomy environments.  Some of his novels are set in fictional towns that only exist in the imagination of the author and are usually set in the state of Maine.  He has a tendency of mentioning in his books places or characters from other books he has written previously, and I once read a long time ago that he writes his terror books inspired by his own fears.

I love to read books and he is one of my favorite writers.  I have read many of his books such as Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, Christine, Cujo, Cycle of the Werewolf, Pet Sematary, It, The Dark Half, Thinner, Dolores Claiborne, Misery, Apt Pupil, Secret Window, The Green Mile among others, as I have also seen many movies based on his novels.

From Stephen King books which I really liked, I can recommend: Salem's Lot, Dolores Claiborne and The Green Mile. If you are a fan of Stephen King, do not miss the opportunity to obtain a complete collection of his most outstanding books and remember that a book contains much more detail than can be seen on film.
